QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has ordered the officials to take steps to protect forests, wildlife, and endangered species in the province.
An official statement said the CM took notice of the illegal cutting of trees and hunting in areas designated for wildlife.
He ordered the formation of committees comprising tribal and local elders to stop illegal hunting and protect the wildlife.
The CM said the restoration of the International Funds for Protected Areas would be discussed with the Federal Ministry of Climate Change.
The provincials forest secretary said three government employees had been arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal killing of wildlife.
