LAKKI MARWAT: Terrorists blew up the house of a Pakistan Air Force official in Miralam Manjiwala area here on Tuesday night.

A police official confirmed the incident, saying that a group of terrorists came to the rural locality, planted an improvised explosive device inside the abandoned house and destroyed it with an explosion.

He said that the house was owned by Taimur Khan, an Air Force employee, and that the family had ‘abandoned’ it. “The blast damaged at least three rooms and the boundary wall of the house,” he said. He added that the militants also set the cattle pen on fire alongside the house and damaged the solar system.

The official said police launched an investigation into the incident after registration of a case against unknown miscreants.

It is pertinent to mention here that Taimur Khan, 30, and his father, Zarwali Khan, 55, had sustained injuries in a terror attack in the area on Feb 3.

Meanwhile, two people were killed and one was injured when rivals attacked them over a children’s quarrel in Gudikhel area of Karak district.

The police said the double murder occurred in the limits of Shah Slaim police station. They said the bodies and the injured were taken to a hospital in Takht Nusrati town.

Armanullah, 19, who was injured in the attack, told police that he, his father, Rozi Khan, Faizukllah and Samiullah were ambushed by four armed rivals when they were going to mountains in search of goats. He said Faizullah and Samiullah received critical injuries and died instantly while he was wounded in the attack.

The police said the bodies were handed over to relatives after completing medico-legal formalities. The police registered a case against suspected killers.
